Becoming Metropolitan!!!

Party for Charity
Once again students of MBS got together to organize a charity event. This time you are invited to party for the education of girls in Africa.
The reason for the charity is the simple evidence that “Education can change everything“.
In sub-Saharan Africa, 24 million girls can’t afford to go to school. A girl may marry as young as 13 and has a one in 22 chance of dying in childbirth. One in six of her children will die before the age of five. Research shows if you educate a girl she’ll:
- Earn up to 25 percent more and reinvest 90 percent in her family.
- Be three times less likely to become HIV-positive. Read more…
Congratulation to the Winners!
Almost two weeks ago, all the people attending the Metropolia World Week had the chance to win prizes. Either you had participated as a cooking team, at one of the three campuses, and have been voted best by all the people trying your food. Or you send in your photo or video for the Erasmus Photo Competition, and either got announced winner by the jury or the students. But there was also the chance to be the lucky winner for just filling out a piece of paper, the spectators prize. Read more…
